HCAA November 2021 Adelaide General Meeting
Notice is hereby given to all Members of the HCAA that our Adelaide November General Meeting will take place on Tuesday 16 November 2021, commencing 6pm (ACST) at the Adelaide Pavilion.
6:30pm sharp: General Meeting opens
6.35pm: Presidents welcome and committee report
7pm: General Meeting closes
7.10pm-7.30pm: National update and overview of 2021
7.40-8pm: HCAA water demand investigation update
Brendan Josey from Deakin University will be presenting an update on the HCAA water demand investigation. The research to be presented is part of the first systematic study on the actual water demand in Australian multi-level residential buildings. The actual water consumption within four specific Australian multi-level residential buildings have been recorded at 1-minute interval for several months. The measured peak flow have been compared to the designed peak flow from current Australian standard AS/NZS 3500.1 and selected international plumbing codes. A case study of the steady-state hydraulic condition in a specific multi-level residential building have been conducted through single- and extended-period numerical modelling. Key limitations in current Australian plumbing design standards and practices have been identified.
